FAQ
Can Parazeet be used with sun protection?
Yes. But we would advise you to apply the sun protection first, allow it to dry, then apply Parazeet.

Can pregnant women use Parazeet?
Yes. Parazeet Sensitive Skin products can be used by pregnant women. During pregnancy, however, we recommend applying the repellent to exposed arms and legs. Not directly on the stomach, which should be covered by clothing.

Which type of product from the Parazeet range should I use if I'm going to a country where malaria is endemic?
If you are visiting a country where you will be exposed to a disease carried by insects, you should use a product from the Tropical areas range. This contains 50 % DEET for normal skin and children as from 6 years old, or 20 % IR3535 for sensitive skin, younger children and pregnant women.
Whatever the case, if you go to a country with a high risk of malaria, always ask your GP or a specialist at a "travel vaccination clinic" to find out which is the most effective anti-malarial medication for the country you are planning to visit. Reminder: you may have to begin anti-malarial treatment 3 weeks before you travel.

Which product from the Parazeet range should I use for my child?
Parazeet Sensitive Skin is alcohol-free and formulated with the repellent IR3535. It is suitable for young children as from 1 year old.
Adapt the concentration of repellent to the zone you will be travelling to:
20 % IR3535 for tropical areas.
12.5 % IR3535 for non tropical areas.

For how long does Parazeet protect me?
The Normal Skin range provides protection against mosquitoes for up to 8 hours and the Sensitive Skin range for up to 5 or 6 hours (depending on the concentration of repellent). It is also advisable to repeat application if necessary, according to the conditions of use such as high temperature, humidity and other factors likely to reduce the period of protection against the insects.

Does Parazeet contain DEET?
The Parazeet Tropical areas Normal Skin leading product contains 50 % DEET. This concentration is generally recommended by doctors at clinics who see travellers going to countries where diseases spread by insects are endemic. However, as DEET should not be used on children under 6 years, we recommend using Parazeet Tropical areas Sensitive Skin on young children.
